Gamers of Pokemon GO Are Disappointed With the Mega Rayquaza Change

The Mega Rayquaza raid hasn’t given as much Mega Energy as it used to, which has angered Pokemon GO users because it has stopped many gamers from being able to Mega develop their Pokemon. Since Rayquaza is the Pokemon in Pokemon GO that needs the most Mega Energy, players anticipated that they would acquire enough to evolve in one or two raids, if not more.

Although fans had been anticipating Mega Rayquaza’s comeback for the Shared Skies season, the event proved to be glitchy for those who play Pokemon GO. In an effort to make amends with the community, Niantic declared that the event would be repeated, giving fans who were unable to obtain the Pokemon another chance to participate in the raid. Since the announcement eliminated the Elite Gym requirement from the Pokemon GO Mega Rayquaza raid, people were initially pretty pleased. It appears that some people are still having issues with the event, though.

Niantic promised to rerun the event as a way to make up to the community and provide those who were unable to obtain the Pokemon another chance to participate in the raid. The announcement that the Elite Gym criteria would no longer apply to the Pokemon GO Mega Rayquaza raid initially made fans very delighted. Still, it appears that some fans are having problems with the event.

Players that won a raid in the first Pokemon GO Mega Rayquaza Elite Raid received roughly 200 Mega Energy; however, for the makeup event, that amount was substantially lowered to about 70 Mega Energy. The amount changes based on how long it takes players to fight Mega Rayquaza, however players now find it more challenging to Mega evolve their Pokemon due to this significant alteration. After completing a few raids, several players thought they had had enough and quit, only to find out later that they would not be able to Mega develop their Pokemon. There have been negative reactions in the community to the fact that the inaugural Elite Raid itself only gave 400 Mega energy, as some players were expecting.

The fact that players evolving Rayquaza for the first time must rely only on winning raids in order to obtain the necessary quantity of energy, which makes things even more difficult. After obtaining Mega Evolved Rayquaza even once in Pokemon GO, users can walk 20 kilometers with the Pokemon and receive 100 Mega energy. Even if it’s not an easy task to finish, it nevertheless provides supporters with a means to muster some Mega energy. However, in order to obtain Mega Rayquaza in Pokemon GO, players who have never Mega-evolved Rayquaza will have to wait until the next event.
