The accused in the rape-murder case in Kolkata are now undergoing psychiatric testing, according to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The test will be supervised by a group of five specialists from the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) of the CBI.
Sanjoy Roy, a civic volunteer with the Kolkata Police, is the primary accused. He was given access to all departments on August 9 while he was stationed at the police outpost at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

On Thursday night, a 31-year-old postgraduate physician had slept off in a seminar room. Her half clothed, multiplely injured body was discovered early on Friday morning.

Although the court is not required to grant permission for the CBI to conduct this test, after it is finished, the court may grant permission for other tests such as brain mapping, lie detector testing, and narcoanalysis of the accused.

Sanjoy Roy will be asked questions from a pre-prepared list by the five doctors who make up the CBI team, who traveled to Kolkata yesterday to administer the test.

On the third day at the RG Kar Hospital, a forensic team is also present to gather evidence from the lecture hall, where the deceased person was discovered.

How Does a Psychological Test Work?

Psychoanalysis is the term for psychological evaluation, which is applied to undertrials in order to comprehend their routines, behaviors, and habits.

The investigative agency’s staff can determine whether Roy is telling the truth in this test by subjecting his voice to a layered voice analysis, or lie-detector gadget.
